  • Overview

    Exide Technologies is seeking a Logistics professional to lead procurement & vendor engagement with
    its Transportation Service Providers. This position will drive value by developing a carrier strategy that balances
    service and cost. The ideal candidate will use sound economic thinking to develop long-term partnerships.


    • Leads the annual RFP event and any supplemental efforts needed to secure capacity.
    • Tracks Award compliance & Spend Analysis
    • Acts as Super User for best-in-class sourcing application
    • Leads recurring carrier engagements and sets the frequency based on partner segmentation.
    • Works with appropriate support functions to develop actionable carrier dashboards & scorecards
    • Acts as Logistics liaison to AP for dispute resolution and source to pay processes.
    • Serves as intermediary for carrier technical compliance (EDI & API)
    • Develops Market POV and communicates trends to leadership.
    • Manages the execution of Master Service Agreement & associated Schedules
    • Prospects and vets new service providers

    Education, Experience, Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field(Logistics & Transportation, Supply Chain, Procurement, etc) from four-year College or university; 7-10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

    • Communication Skills.
    • Must have Procurement application experience (Jaggaer strongly preferred)
    • Knowledge of BluJay TMS & FourKites desired
    • Negotiation Experience
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Tableau BI
    • Takes initiative and has an innovative approach to procurement
    • Ability to lead and sell change within an organization
