  • Overview

    This position is responsible for the design, implementation, communication, and administration of compensation plans for active employees.  This position ensures that Exide benefits programs are competitive and support overall corporate strategic direction and support the need of the business entities. 


    This is a working manager position, not a team lead position.

    • Execute all aspects of compensation programs that support attracting and retaining top talent
    • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory issues and practices related to area of expertise and to lead change when needed to ensure compliance. This position is the FLSA expert in the company.
    • Assist with the administration of the Global Long-Term Incentive Program
    • Communicate and administer the company’s annual incentive program for the Americas
    • Design, communicate and administer sales compensation programs for the Americas
    • Develop and administer the annual merit increase planning process for the Americas
    • Participate in compensation surveys to obtain the latest compensation market data
    • Provide guidance and support on compensation positioning and recommend individual salary actions.
    • Develop and implement new compensation programs that are aligned with business objectives and consistent with Exide’s compensation philosophy.
    • Develop and implement effective communication and materials to management and employees regarding compensation
    • Become familiar with our HR system, Meta4, and generate reports as needed
    • Prepare materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors as needed
    • Build effective working relationships with Executive Leadership, Management, and HR Business Partners


    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
    • Bachelor's Degree, 5+ years of compensation experience with total compensation programs
    • 3+ years of executive compensation experience
    • CCP certification a plus.
    • Compensation consulting experience is a plus
    • Large publicly traded company experience is a plus
    • Experience with external market pricing/job evaluation techniques, variable pay program design/implementation, legal requirements of compensation, including FLSA and SEC reporting, and pay for performance programs
    • Ability to establish and maintain credibility with clients and internal customers
    • Excellent Excel and modeling skills
    • Must be able to perform the responsibilities typical of analyst level work
    • Strong communication skill to influence senior leadership
