We are seeking an experienced national New Business Development Manager to join our team that can hit the ground running. You will be responsible for building, supporting and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts to achieve Exide’s business goals. You will also work in partnership with our regional sales teams to increase Exide’s sales and profitability.
The New Business Development Manager will be accomplished in value selling and able to intelligently compare motive power solutions to guide customers to make the best decisions. Moreover, you will be able to lead teams of applications engineers and sales professionals to gather and analyze the data necessary to create these comparisons using systems modeling software.
As a New Business Development Manager, you should be organized, able to analyze sales performance metrics, have good negotiation skills and the ability to build and foster long-term relationships with customers.
This position is home office based and requires 35% travel per business needs. You may be assigned some customers, but ultimately will be responsible for developing new accounts by working with the Exide sales team or on new opportunities of your own.
To meet and exceed our expectations, the successful candidate will bring a solid, in-depth, knowledge of the Fork Lift industry and Motive Power batteries, as well as already established relationships within the industry. You should be able to understand our target customer base and who we cater to. Perform additional tasks and functions as determined by the Senior Director of Sales; examples include, but are not limited to, representing GNB/Exide at trade shows, helping train sales managers, and presenting at sales meetings.
