  • Overview

    This position assists HR Leadership with analysis and designing compliance solutions and programs and works cross-functionally to achieve aligned goals and results. This position prepares metrics and performs analyses on various programs within scope.

    Responsible for reviewing investigations and gathering relevant supporting materials from Plant HR in order to prepare responses to administrative charges of discrimination, retaliation or harassment, labor audits, and wage claims for the Company. The position also manages the tracking and trending of employee ethics complaints in partnership with the Director, HR.

    • Partners with Human Resources and Legal and any other functional teams to proactively address compliance issues in the workplace (e.g. EEO, wage and hour, etc.) including leading/initiating audits, determining action steps based on results, and effectively aligning appropriate partners to take action to achieve the best result for the business
    • Prepares metrics and performs analyses regarding all areas of HR compliance, identifying significant issues and trends.
      • Responsible for tracking employee litigation cases and partnering with counsel to propose recommendations and remedies. 
      • Responsible for the tracking of employee ethics complaints and identifying trends and metrics to be shared with the HR Leadership team. 
    • Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining applicable compliance related programs and standards. Implements the annual acknowledgement process for employees.
    • Primary resource for HR Compliance including Affirmative Action Plans, EEO-1, Veteran’s Reporting, I-9 and ADA tracking and compliance. 
    • Partners with Designated Employer Representatives in administering the Drug and Alcohol Testing Program; acting as a liaison with drug and alcohol testing service agents (FAA, DOT, collection sites, labs, MRO’s, EAP program); and pulling, scheduling and recording random D&A tests.
    • SME for all matters related to pre-employment, random, and reasonable suspicion testing requirements, including providing guidance and training to management team.
    • Upon request from Director, reviews investigations and relevant supporting materials from Plant HR, and prepares responses to administrative charges of discrimination, retaliation or harassment, labor audits, and wage claims for the Company.
    • Evaluates complex discrimination, retaliation, disability, LOA, FMLA, ADA, and wage and hour issues, and assesses risk. Communicates EEO trends and recommends appropriate course of action to HR leadership
    • Support the Director HR in responding to claims for EEOC, Code of Conduct, discrimination, harassment and other legal/policy issues
    • Responsible for compliance documentation with regards to restructuring, separations, workforce analysis, adverse impact and legal documentation in conjunction with HR Leadership.
    • Periodically assess HR risk, identify control gaps and identify opportunities to improve consistency of risk management across the HR organization
    • Managing the technology utilized in compliance operations; developing innovative approaches to using technology to maximizing the effectiveness of the compliance program; and working across functions to implement technological solutions.
    • Responsible for managing the contractor process to ensure compliance with Wage and Hour Law. Train and educate managers on guidelines, tracking and overall distinction between the employer-contractor relationships.


    • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a business or HR major, or paralegal certification required
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR and/or EEO/Wage & Hour compliance or an equivalent combination of post-graduate education and experience; Previous experience in a HR department, focused on workforce compliance, audits, organizational development and employee investigations.
    • Strong capability and proven experience in Excel, including pivot tables, macro development preferred.
    • Background in HR Compliance and HR Analytics.
    • Previous experience with budgets and forecasting
    • Strong knowledge of legal concepts and terminology related to employment discrimination, wage and hour laws, and related areas
    • Strong knowledge of state and federal employment and employee benefit laws, including Title VII, ADA, FLSA, ERISA, ADEA, FMLA,
    • Knowledge of HR processes and practices
