  • Overview

    The role will support the development and delivery of Talent and Organizational Effectiveness initiatives and provide expertise across Exide globally to meet current and future organization-wide strategy.  Position reports to the SVP, CHRO.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage various talent-related projects such as the talent review and assessment programs, culture initiatives, leadership development program, etc.
    • Conduct HR-related training including performance management, leadership development, compliance, etc.
    • Develop practical programs and strategies for leaders to use to enhance employee engagement and retain the top talent. Lead engagement survey.
    • Lead recognition and rewards programs and practices
    • Develop programs that translate talent and organizational development strategies to be implemented
    • Manages the design and implementation of talent pipeline programs, deepening bench strength and providing career growth opportunities to strong performers
    • Participate and at times lead broader HR projects, programs, teams and initiatives. Assist with other HR special projects as necessary
    • Engage and connect with network of external thought leaders, senior HR professionals and communities of practice in T&OE to keep informed of emerging research, trends and practice
    • Build credible and effective working relationships with leaders to provide expert advice
    • Champion a continuous learning approach to enhance organizational capability and foster innovation
    • Coaches leaders to improve their personal effectiveness
    • Develop, manage and monitor budgets allocating funds to areas that will have greatest impact on the delivery of HR strategy and business plans
    • Other relevant duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Professional expertise and knowledge to develop HR programs which will have high impact and drive business success and to solve HR issues
    • Professional expertise and knowledge to develop Talent and OE strategy
    • Proven ability to build effective partnerships with leaders and improve leadership capability through coaching, mentoring and constructive challenge
    • Strong commitment to own professional development and knowledge of how to build a culture of continuous learning to develop HR capability
    • Demonstrated success in leading complex organization-wide change or transformation programs by building commitment and countering resistance
    • Knowledge of the levers to drive cultural change and how to engender accountability at senior leadership levels

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Required Education / Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field
    • 7+ years’ experience in Human Resources

    Preferred Education / Experience

    • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field
    • Experience working on a HR Senior Leadership team
    • Manufacturing industry experience
