  • Overview

    This position will lead and direct all manufacturing finance & cost responsibilities for its ten battery/recycling plant locations.  All Plant Controllers report directly to this position.  This position will also provide the Vice President of Operations with financial and internal control support.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate the development, consolidation and reporting of annual manufacturing expense & cost variance budgets ensuring compliance to short and long-term division objectives.
    • Coordinate the development, consolidation and reporting of weekly and monthly manufacturing expense & cost variance forecasts.
    • Maintain the management reporting process, analyze and report key financial and operational metrics to effectively manage the business.
    • Analyze and report manufacturing variances timely and accurately as they apply to weekly forecasts, monthly financials, routine forecasts and annual budgets.
    • Lead the initiative to develop process and cost improvement programs at manufacturing operations, which will yield improved product costs.
    • Ensure and improve accuracy in standard cost of products.
    • Analyze and review Capital Expenditure Requests under the approval and responsibility of the Vice President of Operations
    • Ensure SOX and Internal Control compliance across all manufacturing plants.

    Qualifications

    • 10-15 years of manufacturing cost environment with 5-7 years Plant Controller experience.
    • Experience with ERP systems.
    • Strong leadership skills, communication skills and high level of integrity.
    • Prefer individual with an advance degree or financial certification.
    • Pluses include multiple manufacturing plant responsibility, lean manufacturing tools and JDEdwards ERP System.
    • Minimum credentials should include an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience.
    • Outstanding knowledge and understanding of standard costs, variance analysis and manufacturing accounting.
