  • Overview

    The Regional IT Director (RD) is responsible for ensuring that Regional operational service expectations are properly understood, documented and met by ensuring that service level agreements are in place for all critical IT functions and performance is regularly published to key stakeholders.  Responsible for ensuring investment needs and priorities are properly communicated to the appropriate IT process domain committees and projects are initiated and delivered, in line with regional and company priorities and resource capacity.  This role will ensure the Regional business strategy is properly reflected in Exide’s long term IT plan and that the Region actively supports the implementation of the company’s strategic IT programs.  A successful candidate must build, ensure, and maintain productive and strategic business relationships with all key stakeholders in the Region. This role is the primary representative of Corporate IT in the Region.

    Responsibilities

    • Represent the Region as a member of the Global IT Management Team and the Company’s various IT Process Domain Committees
    • Orchestrate, with the Regional President, the Regional IT Committee ensuring a regular quarterly tempo.
    • Communicate regional business needs, financial constraints and regulatory requirements to company’s IT leadership
    • Play a significant role in long term planning by acting as a champion for regional needs and ensures that regional projects receive the right prioritization on the Domains’ 5 year delivery road maps.
    • Communicate the global IT roadmap to the regional business stakeholders and soliciting feedback,
    • Negotiate regional service objectives for both new and existing IT services (in alignment with business stakeholders)
    • Report regional service performance against agreed target performance indicators and identifying actions when necessary
    • Ensure delivery of superior level service to end-user and clients, and functioning as a point of contact for escalated issues to ensure appropriate response and focus of support teams
    • Ensure all regional business and IT change management activities are defined and delivered
    • Collaborate with the regional business function(s) to define realistic and achievable implementations plan(s) including the definition of project success measures
    • Ensure all regional project deliverables are met as per established IT and PMO methodologies.
    • Manage the sunset of legacy Regional applications in line with the overall delivery of the enterprise application strategy.
    • Provide tactical Business Intelligence Support to the Regions, responding to informational needs not supported by the central BI team.
    • Monitor regional security compliance in accordance with published standards, policies and procedures, communicates to business and IT leadership and takes appropriate action when necessary
    • Manage Regional IT budget
    • Manage, motivate and develop the Regional IT team

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education, Experience, Certifications:

    • Minimum of 4 year technical degree

     

    Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

    • Demonstrated leadership skills
    • Ability to successfully partner with internal stakeholders at all levels
    • Passion for driving change in a complex environment
    • Proven track record of developing, training, and coaching teams
    • Able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment on multiple projects
    • Strong facilitation and influencing skills

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • 10+ years of IT Management including computer operations management, multiple roles in systems implementation, supervision of technical personnel, architecture and security/compliance and applications
    • Experience providing IT solutions in a matrix organization

     

    TRAVEL, ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Travel Expectations: 20%
