Overview

Position is a territory sales manager for industrial batteries, related equipment and services.  Position will be responsible for representing the Exide brands to OEM’s, VAR’s, engineering consultants, distributors and end users in the assigned territory. Work closely with management and service department to create and maintain a majority market share by attaining sales and service targets.

  • Responsible for meeting sales and service goals of the company as assigned by the region manager in assigned territory.
  • Insure compliance with all Exide policies and procedures.
  • Develop strategies to nurture and grow Exide presence and sales in assigned territory.
  • Work closely with OEM’s, VAR’s, distributors, end users and engineering consultant personnel in the assigned territory to promote Exide products and services.
  • Work closely with local service department to create and maintain 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Experience, Certifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in sales or marketing, or a related field required. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in selling capital goods in an industrial environment and/or battery industry

 

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Network Power market and products
  • An outstanding track record of influencing decisions and making a positive impact.
  • Energy, initiative, accountability and results orientation are required.
  • A progressively responsible career history and demonstrated success in territory sales
  • A high level of business acumen and the quantitative/analytical capacity to understand complex sales processes.
  • Skills to effectively use CRM tools in managing opportunities, win/loss of projects, and target objectives
  • Strategic selling skills, effective negotiating skills, and commitment to customers are required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Collaborative work style, one that solicits ideas and shares information to develop creative solutions and winning strategies across the Exide/GNB sales organization.
  • Resourcefulness and creativity, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Technical competency and be PC proficient, including standard business software and the Internet.
  • Integrity, team orientation and desire to over achieve are of the utmost importance.
