Working for the GNB Industrial Battery Division, the Industrial Service Coordinator primary day to day responsibilities will be to take service requests and scheduling service calls with technicians. Once service is complete, the coordinator will arrange technician payment and customer billing.


Customer Contact, Service Requests, and Scheduling:

  • Handle all service requests and customer contact in a professional manner
  • Responding to service requests in a timely manner
  • Create and update service orders in JDE as necessary
  • Schedule service calls with external Service Technicians
  • Keep customers informed of service dates and update customer’s systems updated
  • Schedule & coordinate scrap battery retrieval

Service Completion & Billing:

  • Follow up with Service Technicians to ensure completion of Service Calls
  • Update JDE and customer’s systems (if necessary) upon completion of service call
  • Code Technician Invoices in GAUSS and tie into JDE for customer billing
  • Close out JDE service call once technician billing is complete in GAUSS
  • Receive invoices from Billtrust and batch/upload to customers as required
  • Complete billing reports for customers as needed

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Handle warranty claims and work with US warranty department for warranty approvals
  • Handle customer issues and ensure timely and effective resolutions
  • Escalate issues as needed to appropriate manager(s)
  • Liaison with GNB Sales team and other Exide/GNB departments
  • Cross train with other team members as back-up
  • Participate in training courses and meetings as needed
  • Provide additional customer service and clerical support as required


  • Will be a self-starter with exceptional communication skills, works well under pressure
  • Team player in a fast paced environment
  • Possesses an expert knowledge of the MS Office Software, especially Excel, experience in JD Edwards asset
  • Possess excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Be able to work independently and have a proven ability to multi task, knows how to prioritize
  • Bilingual (French/English) is not necessary but would be an asset

Required Experience:

  • College or University Graduate preferred
  • Will have 1 -2 years background and experience in Customer Service
