Overview

Individual will lead the customer warranty management for all of Americas.  This includes Transportation, Network, and Motive  Power.  The individual will be responsible for developing systems to process claims timely, claim validation, warranty trend analysis, and warranty improvement prioritization.  The position will be accountable for reporting to customers, manufacturing plants, and senior management.  Individual must have a thorough working knowledge of quality systems, battery manufacturing processes, and battery designs.  This position will have high corporate visibility and located in our North America Headquarters in Milton, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy for the reduction of warranty by utilizing results returned product analysis to focus corporate teams and drive warranty policy alignment with product capabilities
  • Lead the development of world class warranty tracking and management system through the use of SalesForce/ServiceMax and Intelex
  • Improve product warranty tracking by establishing top priority improvement areas and standardizing analysis processes and failure modes
  • Coordinate the analysis of key data to reduce warranty for manufacturing, design, supplier, and policy terms
  • Conduct analysis of collected information to determine trends
  • Provide direction, clarity, and leadership to all warranty responsible team members
  • Evaluation of the current customer and branch network return policies and procedures and propose improvements
  • Manage the collection and prioritization of batteries to be analyzed
    • Coordinate and manage verification of product received
    • Manage the scheduling of test sequence through the product lab
  • Ensure consistent failure mode analysis is conducted in each teardown location

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications:

  • Minimum of 4 year technical degree in science, engineering or quality
  • 10 years related experience in quality assurance, process engineering, or product engineering
  • Project Management experience

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

  • Knowledgeable in spreadsheets, statistical software, and statistical data analysis
  • Proficient in structure problem solving techniques (8D, 5 Why, DMAIC, etc)
  • Must be proficient with spreadsheet, database and statistical software
  • Impeccable communication, presentation and organizational skills 
  • Detailed oriented
  • Team dynamics and group motivation skills
  • Highest ethical standards and practices

Travel, additional requirements:

  • This position requires less than 20% travel
