Under the supervision of the Hub Manager and Warehouse Supervisor (and in cooperation with the Branch Coordinator) the Office/Plaque Clerk plays a key role in ensuring timely customer interaction and support. Primary responsibilities include execution of administrative customer requirements, participation and input into resolving customer complaints and issues, inventory control, and timely & accurate customer order entry, processing, & completion. The ability to work and participate in a team environment is critical to succeeding in this position.

 

Responsibilities

Plaque Clerk:

  • Order plaques as needed and maintain plaque inventory
  • Interact with plaque suppliers, distribution centers and other Exide Branches
  • Transfer plaques to other locations as needed
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Comply with current Quality Systems requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the team

EDUCATION. EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION:

  • High School Diploma or Associate's degree (or higher) in Accounting is preferred, and a minimum of two years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with JD Edwards and previous experience working in a customer support role is a plus

COMPETENCIES,  SKILLS. KNOWLEDGE:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and
  • Excellent computer skills in (Data entry, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of spreadsheet applications &
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and sales

 

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED:

Personal computer including word processing, spreadsheet applications and E-Mail; telephone; copier; and facsimile .
