Overview

This position is responsible for advancing the performance of supply chain systems to achieve best-in-class performance. Emphasis on insuring that planning and replenishment has the proper systems in place and is using them effectively.

  • Maximize the effectiveness of JDA Demand Planning, Collaboration, Fulfillment and Master Planning applications used in the planning and execution of the supply chain. Remove barriers to using the systems.
  • Identify opportunities and implement improvements to the current applications. Seek and apply best practices. Recommend enhancements or new systems where appropriate and act as project lead in their implementation.
  • Insure the integrity and accuracy of master data. Develop and implement maintenance procedures, partnering with the users to regularly validate and maintain master data.
  • Insure that the user-group is properly trained. Develop documentation and training programs specific to Exide’s implementation and lead such programs where appropriate.
  • Liaison with IT on technical matters, including data integrations, system process scheduling or other issues that impact supply chain systems. Identify data requirements from ERP and other systems such as SaleForce.com and work closely with the technical owners to develop data integration.
  • Serve as a key internal resource on process improvement projects and initiatives, as requested by the supply chain leadership team. Serve as project lead when requested.
  • Work cross functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Procurement and Finance to understand their business requirements as it relates to supply chain systems and apply them appropriately.
  • Key areas for results include quality of inventory, forecast accuracy and master data integrity.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering or other analytical field.
  • Minimum of five years of work experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Operations or Information Technology.
  • Knowledge of supply chain systems and business reporting tools. Experience with JDA required. Experience with JD Edwards beneficial.
  • Strong skills using SQL, Microsoft Excel, Access and other office programs.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage projects and lead teams.
  • APICS certification, or equivalent, desirable.
  • Some travel (<20%)
