The Director, Procurement Operations - Americas will ensure achievement of Procurement organizational goals by driving process and continuous improvement efforts in the Procurement organization.   This includes standardizing and simplifying processes and procedures, consolidating reporting of Procurement KPIs, level setting, leading implementation of new systems and performing other operational duties as defined by the Procurement VP.  The Procurement Operations Leader must define the most effective and efficient methods for measuring and enhancing Procurement performance by level setting and benchmarking internal and external procurement best practices.  They must also work with IT to provide the tools the commodity leaders and Procurement Directors need to effectively meet their goals.


  • Develop strategic plan for simplification, standardization and process improvements for the Procurement organization
  • Act as main liason and Procurement lead with IT in development of visual digital tools that provide the data needed to increase organizational effectiveness
  • Serve as the Procurement leader in IT’s development of new ERP systems. Provide scope of work, critical needs and user acceptance testing feedback and input
  • Identify, establish and implement KPIs for the organization (PPV, OTD, DTP, Working Capital, etc)
  • Establish supplier scorecards that measure overall supplier performance in Quality, On Time Delivery and Cost
  • Lead analysis of PPV reports and review with Procurement VP opportunities for improvement
  • Serve as back up or delegate to Procurement VP in review and approval of high value POs
  • Own the overall coordination and recommendations to the Procurement VP for hedging utilities, metals and other applicable commodities
  • Lead other Procurement initiatives as identified by Procurement VP
  • Partner with Procurement VP to develop and deliver bi-annual reviews with the President of the Americas and also the company CEO
  • Own consolidation of overall strategic plan and quarterly forecasting updates for Procurement


Education, Experience, Certifications:

  • College degree
  • MBA preferred
  • At least 8 years of supply chain experience in manufacturing or procurement
  • 5 years in procurement, purchasing or sourcing
  • Experience with digital and automated procurement tools is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in creating strategic procurement plans and evidence of being able to effectively communicate those plans to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated direct and cross-functional team leadership

  • Seek feedback from internal customers to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Executive level communications and selling skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft suite of products
