  • Manage the branch’s performance including customer satisfaction, profitability, safety, good housekeeping, and environmental, state and federal compliance.
  • Manage employee performance, development and training for branch personnel.
  • Provide technical support to all branches and agents to foster increased sales.
  • Ensure all hazardous materials are handled, transported, stored, and disposed of per DOT and EPA regulations
  • Responsible for ensuring vehicles, including commercial, are operating within all federal, state, local and, corporate guidelines.
  • Maintain warehouse to the company’s health, safety and SOP standards.
  • Serve as backup to Service Technicians to perform Battery and Charger service calls.
  • Drive service leads to generate new accounts.
  • Maintain good working relationships with lift truck dealers.
  • Achieve service targets as assigned.
  • Implement inventory controls and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Prepare annual budget and review monthly reports for the service department.
  • Monitor expense items to ensure minimal expenditures.
  • Other duties assigned as needed

  • While performing the duties of this job, individual is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
  • Individual regularly exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
  • Noise level is minimal to loud.  
  • Surroundings clean to dirty.
  • Local travel will be required.





Education, Experience, Certifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of three years related experience and/or training particularly in a management capacity including budgeting and cost containment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Battery Service Industry experience a plus.
  • Managing multiple facility locations a plus.
  • CDL with hazardous materials (Hazmat) endorsement or ability to obtain if required.
  • Outstanding track record of leading others, influencing decision and making a positive impact
  • Forklift Training Certification a plus


Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

  • Critical thinking and good troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Batteries and Chargers and/or Material Handling market a plus.
  • Good organization/administrative and time management skills.
    • Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
    • High energy, self motivated, ability to be successful without direct supervision.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with multiple levels of customer/dealers/management on business related issues.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word and Outlook.




  • Individual is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Individual is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to regularly lift a minimum 50 lbs on a daily basis and 51 to 150 lbs with assistance of equipment on a daily to weekly basis
  • Regular use of safety glasses. Vision requirements: close vision.
